Most drivers check incorrectly. Here is the proper method.
Step 1: Park on Level Ground
If the car is not level, the reading will be wrong.
Step 2: Turn Off Engine & Wait 5 Minutes
Let oil drain into the pan.
Step 3: Pull Out Dipstick
Wipe it clean with tissue.
Step 4: Insert & Pull Out Again
Now you will see the true level.
Step 5: Check Marks
- Between MIN and MAX = OK
- Below MIN = Add oil immediately
- Above MAX = Remove oil (can damage engine)
